Data Science Associate

About the role

Metyis is seeking a Data Science Associate with 3‑5 years of analytics experience to join its international Data & Analytics team in Barcelona. The role involves end‑to‑end data handling, from acquisition and cleaning to visualization and delivery of actionable insights across growth, marketing and risk domains.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with senior client stakeholders to drive impactful business change.
• Lead the creation of data pipelines, visualization tools, analytics products, automated services and APIs.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists throughout the data lifecycle – acquisition, exploration, cleaning, integration, analysis and interpretation.
• Perform data analysis in Growth Revenue Management, Marketing Analytics, CLM/CRM Analytics and Risk Analytics.
• Conduct analyses using tools such as SAS, SPSS, EViews, R, Python, SQL, Teradata, Hadoop, Access and Excel.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and facilitate workshops.
• Manage stakeholders, communicate findings to executives and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional experience in analytics or data science.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics).
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to formulate hypotheses and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
