Frontend Developer – React (5+ years experience)

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Frontend Developer to join our global product team. You will help shape the user experience of our community platform and other web products, ensuring high‑quality, performant interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the development of global product lines, including the italki community and platform.
• Understand product requirements, adopt advanced front‑end technologies, and deliver features according to design specifications.
• Collaborate closely with back‑end engineers to continuously improve existing features, optimize performance, and enhance user experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional web development experience, including at least 2 years focused on React.
• Proven track record of delivering successful front‑end projects.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, CSS, DOM manipulation.
• React library and Hooks.
• Front‑end build tools such as Webpack.
• Web and mobile performance optimization.
• Cross‑browser compatibility and accessibility best practices.
• Understanding of front‑end security, HTTP protocol and browser caching strategies.
