Global Cash Management Executive Director

About the role

Join Santander Corporate & Investment Banking as a Global Cash Management Executive Director, based in the Madrid area. You will shape the worldwide cash management strategy, lead a high‑performing team, and advise multinational corporate and institutional clients on liquidity, payments and treasury solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and inspire a team of 3‑5 professionals within the Global Cash Management Origination area.
• Define and implement the global strategy for cash management, payments and liquidity solutions, aligned with corporate banking objectives.
• Advise large corporate and institutional clients on cash management structures, working‑capital optimisation and payment efficiency.
• Partner with relationship‑management, product and technology teams to design and deliver comprehensive global solutions.
• Support origination by identifying new opportunities, contributing to client proposals and leading strategic discussions.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory developments and technology innovation in cash management and payments.
• Represent the bank at client meetings, industry conferences and global forums.
• Ensure compliance with internal risk, operational and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in cash management, payments or treasury within a corporate or investment‑banking environment.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams.
• Strong client‑facing and advisory skills with a global perspective.
• Deep understanding of risk culture and regulatory compliance.
