Junior Data Analyst – Business Development & Portfolio

About the role

Chemo, a global pharmaceutical company, is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to join its Business Development & Portfolio team in Madrid. This entry‑level role is ideal for recent graduates who want to apply data analytics to real‑world business decisions within the pharma sector.

Key responsibilities

• Support the collection, organization, and analysis of market, competitor, and internal data.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining reports, metrics, benchmarks, and dashboards.
• Structure, clean, and transform data for analytical use.
• Conduct quantitative analyses to identify product opportunities and market trends.
• Generate insights for the Portfolio and Business Development teams.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate needs into actionable analyses.
• Develop automation and data‑analysis capabilities over time.

Required profile

• Recently completed or near‑completion of a Master’s degree in Data Analytics, AI, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with curiosity and a willingness to learn.
• Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate ideas clearly to non‑technical audiences.
• Proficiency in English sufficient for an international work environment.

Required skills

• Foundational knowledge of Python.
• Experience with SQL.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with data‑visualisation tools such as Power BI (preferred).
