Legal Consultant – Remote (Contract)

About the role

Mercor is seeking a Legal Consultant to work remotely on a contract basis. The consultant will support the company’s ESG strategy and grant‑writing initiatives by reviewing legal and policy documents and ensuring they meet high standards of quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess domain‑specific legal, policy, and ESG documents for accuracy, relevance, and compliance.
• Provide structured feedback to improve document standards and overall impact.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance ESG strategies and grant‑writing processes.
• Analyze legal and policy materials to ensure effectiveness and regulatory alignment.
• Work independently and asynchronously, meeting project deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum).
• At least 2 years of professional experience in a relevant legal or policy domain.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured guidelines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
