Linux Administrator (DevOps)

About the role

We are seeking a Linux Administrator with a strong DevOps focus to join SOTEC Consulting – Astek Group’s strategic banking project in Madrid. The role combines system administration, incident management, and automation in an international, highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide continuous technical and functional support to users and manage incidents to ensure rapid service restoration.
• Maintain application access, create production dashboards, and implement monitoring systems.
• Control execution of production processes, verify interface quality, and oversee backups and restoration procedures.
• Orchestrate releases, manage batch scheduling, and define monitoring mechanisms.
• Produce and maintain operational documentation, user manuals, and knowledge‑base articles.
• Analyze performance logs, manage capacity, perform data purges, and support IT Operations with workload estimation and change planning.

Required profile

• Operational knowledge of Linux systems.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Fluency in English and French.
• Preferably experience in banking or other highly regulated sectors.
