Logistics Manager

About the role

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing inventory levels, production control planning, and the efficient flow of materials within the plant. This role ensures timely customer deliveries, raw material reception, and the smooth operation of shipping and receiving functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procedures to analyze customer schedules, identify demand constraints, and integrate supplier deliveries with production requirements.
• Oversee inventory management, define strategies for optimal stock levels, eliminate obsolete material, and reduce aging inventory.
• Coordinate, prioritize, and execute JIT projects awarded to the plant.
• Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by enforcing operational and personnel policies.
• Supervise storage and supply of materials to support daily production while maintaining housekeeping standards.
• Establish and monitor security procedures for warehouse operations and support cross‑departmental projects.
• Define and acquire equipment for material handling and establish suitable storage and movement methods.
• Ensure plant readiness for customer delivery demands and respond to emergencies or urgent issues.
• Contribute to department budgeting, forecasting, and KPI definition, monitoring, and reporting.
• Maintain stock accuracy within the ERP system to enable effective material component supply.
• Collaborate with other departments on engineering changes, new product launches, and product discontinuations.
• Facilitate communication regarding materials and shipments with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Train, motivate, and supervise employees, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics, inventory, and warehouse management.
• Ability to lead and develop a team of material and human resources.
• Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
