Managing Counsel, Commercial - Partnerships

About the role

This senior commercial counsel position supports global partnership initiatives for a fast‑growing technology company. Working remotely, you will shape high‑impact partnership agreements, balance legal risk with commercial objectives, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across sales, finance, product and go‑to‑market.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate complex partnership agreements, including embedded services, reseller, referral and channel deals.
• Provide strategic legal guidance on enterprise‑level SaaS contracts and commercial transactions in multiple international markets.
• Partner with sales, finance, product and other stakeholders to enable business growth while mitigating legal and operational risks.
• Develop and maintain legal templates, negotiation playbooks and scalable contracting processes.
• Support regional commercial operations in EMEA by reviewing and negotiating sales agreements as needed.
• Advise on data‑protection considerations, particularly GDPR, related to partnership structures.
• Deliver legal training and practical guidance to improve contract management and commercial decision‑making.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives within the legal function.

Required profile

• Qualified legal professional with extensive experience in commercial law, partnership agreements and technology‑related contracts.
• Proven track record negotiating embedded services, reseller, referral and channel partnership agreements.
• Strong background supporting enterprise SaaS transactions and complex commercial negotiations.
• Excellent drafting skills with the ability to create clear, scalable contractual frameworks.
• Solid understanding of GDPR and broader data‑protection principles.
