Process Management Specialist

About the role

ING is seeking a Process Management Specialist to join its Ready to Pay team within the Products & Payments Tribes. You will help design, manage and continuously improve a secure, efficient, and customer‑centric payment experience.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure operational excellence in payment‑related processes and define functional requirements together with technical and business teams.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying pain points and proposing solutions based on KPIs, customer feedback and regulatory needs.
• Participate in transformation projects for card usage and payment solutions, collaborating across functions.
• Monitor and analyse payment processes, recommending enhancements based on performance indicators and customer insights.
• Maintain compliance with local and international regulations such as PSD2 and ISO 20022.
• Support resolution of complex payment‑processing incidents.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends, emerging technologies and regulatory changes.
• Contribute to Agile initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of payment systems, regulatory frameworks and process optimisation in the payments domain.
• Proactive team player committed to improving processes and anticipating industry trends.
• Experience working on cross‑functional transformation projects.
• Ability to analyse processes, interpret KPIs and propose data‑driven improvements.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements such as PSD2 and ISO 20022.
• Agile mindset and willingness to support continuous improvement.
