Software Engineer

About the role

Worldsensing is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join its Engineering team in Barcelona. The role focuses on designing, building, and deploying high‑performance software that powers the company’s IoT monitoring platform, ensuring reliability and scalability for thousands of connected sensors.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core cloud and platform applications, emphasizing scalability, efficiency, resilience, and data security.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Bridge new feature requirements with existing Worldsensing products using strong technical expertise.
• Deploy software solutions on cloud infrastructure and manage containerised environments.
• Write reusable code libraries and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and uphold quality engineering standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional software development experience, covering both back‑end and front‑end work.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and clear communication skills.
• Passion for IoT technologies and a proactive, learning‑oriented mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
