Workplace Engineer – Modern Workplace & Endpoint Management

About the role

SGS is seeking a Workplace Engineer to join its Corporate Workplace & Collaboration team. You will be responsible for engineering, operating, and continuously improving the global Modern Workplace ecosystem, ensuring secure and efficient user experiences across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the subject‑matter expert for Intune, Windows, device management, compliance policies, update channels and related endpoint technologies.
• Design and implement Modern Workplace solutions such as Autopilot, configuration profiles, compliance baselines, Windows update governance and mobile device management.
• Lead global initiatives including device standardisation, Windows 365 deployments, endpoint‑security rollouts and workplace modernisation projects.
• Provide Tier‑3 escalation support for complex endpoint incidents on Windows, iOS/Android, Intune policy conflicts, MDM enrollment and security‑agent deployments.
• Execute non‑standard service requests that require deep engineering knowledge, such as selective policy overrides, certificate‑based integrations and advanced troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, best‑practice guides and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with Microsoft, hardware vendors and security partners to resolve advanced issues and support M&A device migrations.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities for diagnosing endpoint and device‑related issues.
• Experience delivering workplace platforms in a consistent, scalable and policy‑compliant manner.
• Ability to work with global teams and external partners on complex technical projects.
