Autonomous Vehicle Test Operator (Driver)

About the role

The Autonomous Vehicle Test Operator will operate and evaluate self‑driving cars in autonomous mode, collect performance data, and provide verbal feedback. After a fully expense‑paid training program in the USA, you will return to Madrid to work on cutting‑edge AV technology across varied routes and schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Drive autonomous vehicles on defined and undefined routes, monitoring vehicle behaviour and intervening manually when required.
• Log software performance, environmental conditions, and provide detailed verbal feedback.
• Test additional vehicle systems and complete ride reports for operations and engineering teams.
• Work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight periods.
• Maintain the highest safety standards both inside and outside the vehicle.

Required profile

• Valid Class B driver’s licence.
• Minimum five years of professional or commercial driving experience with Class B vehicles.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week on varied schedules.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, sit for long periods and lift up to 45 lb.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a laptop and Google Workspace applications (Gmail, Sheets, Docs).
• Comfortable using a handheld touchscreen smartphone.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to describe observations concisely.
