Backend Node + Express Developer

About the role

Orbitant is seeking a motivated Backend Node + Express Developer to join its remote engineering team. You will work on a variety of client projects, delivering clean, scalable, and maintainable solutions while collaborating closely with both technical and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Node.js and Express following best practices.
• Participate in architectural discussions to create clean, scalable solutions.
• Review and improve code quality, ensuring consistency across the codebase.
• Work with legacy codebases and refactor where necessary.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including product and client representatives.
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge within the team.
• Propose new technologies, tools, or process improvements that add real value.
