Balance Sheet Accountant – Global Solutions Finance

About the role

We are looking for a Balance Sheet Accountant to join our Global Solutions Finance team in Cornellà de Llobregat. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of assets, liabilities, and equity, acting as a bridge between Global Finance, Controllership, and Internal Audit.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations for bank accounts, fixed assets, pre‑payments, accruals and intercompany balances.
• Analyse ledger movements, investigate discrepancies and provide clear commentary on variances.
• Prepare schedules and working papers for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement opportunities in reconciliation and control workflows.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, calculate depreciation and ensure proper capitalization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) completed or at finalist level.
• 2–5 years of financial accounting experience, with strong month‑end close exposure.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with reconciliation tools such as FloQast or BlackLine.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH).
• Familiarity with ERP systems – SAP, Oracle or NetSuite.
