Cook – Hotel Occidental Playa de Palma

About the role

Barceló Group is looking for a motivated Cook to join the kitchen team at Hotel Occidental Playa de Palma. You will work under the supervision of the Head Chef, preparing dishes according to the established menu specifications and ensuring high standards of quality and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare all recipes following the technical sheets of the set menu.
• Ensure smooth kitchen operations and report to the Head Chef.
• Assist in cost control, inventory management and purchasing.
• Carry out cleaning, preservation, cooking, regeneration and replenishment of food items.
• Receive and store food supplies according to established standards and orders.
• Perform tasks in compliance with safety, hygiene regulations and company procedures.

Required profile

• Higher vocational training in Cooking and Gastronomy (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior).
• APPCC (Food safety) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar kitchen position.
• No language requirement.
• Team‑player attitude, creativity, stress tolerance and problem‑solving ability.
