Cyber Security Architect

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Cyber Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of robust security solutions across our enterprise environment. The role involves shaping security strategy, guiding cross‑functional teams, and ensuring compliance within a regulated, financial services context.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce security architecture standards, including threat modelling, risk assessment, and security controls.
• Design secure network infrastructures using firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and secure network design principles.
• Lead application security initiatives, promoting secure coding practices and secure design.
• Architect and secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure) with a focus on identity and access management.
• Conduct security assessments, penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, and audits.
• Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures.
• Provide technical leadership as a Solution Architect or Technical Design Authority on large‑scale transformation programmes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in cybersecurity within financial services or other regulated sectors.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and risk‑based decision‑making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts.
