Director of Employment Law – Spain

About the role

Glovo is seeking a seasoned employment law professional to lead its specialised legal team in Spain. You will shape the company’s employment model, support HR operations, and provide strategic counsel across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of employment lawyers, redefining Glovo’s operating model in Spain.
• Oversee HR operations in the Yellow Park hub and ensure alignment with legal requirements.
• Manage litigation, investigations and disputes, coordinating with external counsel when needed.
• Anticipate legal risks, advise senior management, and devise public‑affairs and settlement strategies.
• Drive strategic engagement with works councils and unions to foster constructive dialogue.
• Build strong relationships with executive and functional leaders while reporting to the parent entity.

Required profile

• Spanish‑qualified employment lawyer with at least 10 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven track record in high‑stakes litigation and advising technology companies.
• Demonstrated leadership of high‑performing legal teams.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, with excellent executive communication skills.
• Hands‑on, pragmatic approach that balances legal risk with business objectives.
