Global Product Specialist - Transformers (Shell Technology)

About the role

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Global Product Specialist to join its team in Paco de Arcos, Lisbon. The role plays a key part in managing the transformers product portfolio, conducting market analysis and supporting the development of new products. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse markets to identify trends and their impact on the transformer portfolio
• Evaluate technical requirements and run competitive assessments to find product gaps and improvement opportunities
• Manage and update technical specifications of existing products
• Oversee performance improvements through benchmarking and quality feedback
• Ensure compliance with international regulations and industry standards throughout the product lifecycle
• Support new product development by turning market needs into inputs for the product roadmap
• Prepare and present technical communication materials for product launches
• Deliver training sessions for cross-functional teams on products and market insights

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in product management, market analysis or a similar role in the transformers or energy industry
• Strong technical understanding of energy solutions and of transformers' engineering design and manufacturing, especially Shell Technology
• Proven ability to carry out market analysis and competitive assessments
• Understanding of sustainability, digitalisation, product compliance regulations and standardisation
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work across cross-functional teams and manage several projects at once
