Independent Financial Advisor (Wealth Manager)

About the role

An established advisory firm specialising in holistic financial advice for expatriates across the EU and Switzerland is seeking an experienced Independent Financial Advisor to join its team in Marbella, Costa del Sol. You will work from the Marbella office, supported by a collaborative environment, and build and manage your own portfolio of clients. The role is performance-driven and client-facing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert financial advice aligned with each client's goals and objectives
• Carry out in-depth financial assessments and develop tailored financial plans
• Advise on investment strategies, retirement planning, estate planning and tax optimisation
• Generate new business through networking, referrals and marketing initiatives
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
• Stay informed on industry developments, regulatory changes and best practices

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Independent Financial Advisor or in a client-facing financial services sales role
• Minimum of three years' client-facing experience in wealth management or life insurance advisory, with recognised investment qualifications (e.g. CISI, CII or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of financial planning principles, investment products and regulatory frameworks
• Relevant certifications such as CFP, CFA or equivalent are advantageous
• Fluency in English is essential; Spanish, German or French is beneficial
