Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Join Destinus to design cutting‑edge mechanisms for next‑generation unmanned aerial vehicles. You will create high‑precision components that enable rapid, reliable motion in hypersonic systems, directly impacting defense aerospace innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop part models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using CAD tools (Siemens NX or equivalent).
• Apply GD&T, DFM and DFA principles to ensure manufacturability and reliability.
• Perform structural analysis with FEA/FEM tools.
• Maintain product data in PLM systems such as TeamCenter.
• Generate comprehensive technical documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of design experience in a precision‑engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of survivability‑focused product design.
• Experience with aerospace or military‑specification products is a plus.
• Proven ability to work with technical suppliers throughout the product life cycle.

Required skills

• Siemens NX (or comparable CAD software).
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) / Finite Element Method (FEM).
• TeamCenter PLM system.
