Non-Financial Risk Specialist (Business Banking)

About the role

ING Spain is looking for a Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Specialist with a Business Banking background to join its Non-Financial Risk Team. The role reports to the Head of NFR for ING Spain & Portugal and sits within a team that oversees NFR policies, advises and challenges risk and control owners, and monitors adherence to the bank's NFR risk appetite through a quarterly dashboard.

Key responsibilities

• Deeply understand Business Banking products, processes, customer journeys and their associated non-financial risks
• Advise and challenge business management on risk identification, assessment, mitigation and monitoring in line with risk appetite and regulatory requirements
• Support, challenge and monitor NFR risk management processes and quality
• Take part in and challenge risk assessments and PARPs on key strategic projects
• Help develop, maintain and roll out NFR frameworks, policies, minimum standards and procedures
• Carry out quality assurance or deep-dive reviews as part of second-line monitoring
• Help coordinate responses to regulatory changes and ECB reports and track follow-up
• Foster risk management awareness, develop and deliver training modules
• Contribute to research, risk-profile assessments and reporting to Senior Management

Required profile

• Approx. 5 years of experience as a Non-Financial Risk analyst focused on Business Banking
• Previous experience in IT or IT risk management is a plus
• University degree or equivalent
• Insight of digital banking, related Business Banking processes and regulations
• Experience in end-to-end process analysis to identify and assess NFR risks, including root cause analysis
• Fluent English, written and spoken
