Non-Financial Risk Specialist

About the role

ING Spain is looking for a Non-Financial Risk Specialist to join its Non-Financial Risk (NFR) team, reporting to the Head of NFR. The team oversees NFR policies and best practices in ING Spain, advises and challenges risk and control owners, monitors adherence to the risk appetite and produces a quarterly NFR dashboard. It covers control risk, processing risk, unauthorized activities, employment practices, security, IT risks, continuity and resilience, and fraud.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted NFR advisor to IT and business management
• Support, challenge and monitor NFR risk management processes and quality
• Take part in and challenge risk assessments on key strategic projects and programs
• Help identify issues, rate risks, define actions and follow them up to resolution
• Contribute to NFR frameworks, policies, minimum standards and procedures
• Carry out quality assurance or deep-dive reviews as part of second-line monitoring
• Identify external and internal developments and threats and turn them into risk strategy
• Monitor controls and coordinate responses to regulatory changes and ECB reports
• Research the organisation's risk profile and report to senior management
• Develop and deliver training modules for IT and business staff

Required profile

• Approximately 5 years of experience as an NFR specialist
• University degree or equivalent
• Risk management education and several international risk certifications
• Insight into digital banking, related processes, IT applications and regulations, with specific experience in business banking
• Experience analysing end-to-end processes to identify and assess NFR risks, including root cause analysis
• Fluent English, written and spoken
