Payments Risk Associate

About the role

Join Getnet Platforms, part of Santander Payment Solutions, as a Payments Risk Associate. You will act as an independent second‑line defender, ensuring that risk considerations are embedded across the platform’s products, services, and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight and constructive challenge for Getnet Platforms business.
• Maintain a holistic view of risks affecting platforms, products, services and strategic projects.
• Partner with business and technology teams to embed risk considerations into decision‑making.
• Assess risk implications of platform transformations, migrations, integrations and other strategic programmes.
• Review and challenge business cases, implementation plans, operational readiness assessments and migration strategies.
• Consolidate insights from Technology Risk, Cybersecurity Risk, Financial Crime Risk, Regulatory Compliance, Third‑Party Risk and other specialist functions.
• Monitor key risk indicators, emerging risks, incidents and control effectiveness across the global platforms environment.
• Support governance forums with clear risk assessments, practical recommendations and concise reporting for senior management.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Risk Management or related functions within the payments industry.
• Proven experience providing risk oversight, independent challenge or business partnering.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex risk scenarios.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with senior stakeholders.
