Project & Construction Manager – Engineer/Architect

About the role

We are looking for a Project & Construction Manager with an engineering or architectural background to join Airbus Defence and Space SAU in Getafe. The role is based on‑site and involves leading civil works and infrastructure projects that support our Facility Management Real Estate (FMRE) department.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver end‑to‑end civil works and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Design and optimise facility layouts and office spaces to meet corporate operational needs and modern workplace trends.
• Oversee construction sites and technical operations, conducting rigorous procedure follow‑ups and quality‑assurance checks.
• Integrate ESG concepts into building designs, construction projects and facility operations to promote sustainability.
• Control project finances and schedules, managing CapEx/OpEx budgets, tracking timelines and handling risk & opportunity management.
• Apply the Airbus Leadership Model to engage, develop and motivate internal and external teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or Architecture (EQF Level 7 / “Máster Habilitante”).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or infrastructure projects; 10 + years preferred.
• Proven experience as a field engineer or technical project manager in the building and construction sector.
• High level of English; strong communication skills.
