Project Director – Data Centre (Spain)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of a new hyperscale data centre in Spain, valued at approximately €700 million. Reporting to the Regional Director, you will have full operational, design and commercial responsibility for the project from inception through close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Support initial development appraisal, planning options and permitting requirements.
• Transfer resourcing skills to project leadership staff and plan skill requirements for the project team.
• Recruit and select quality personnel within budget and headcount constraints.
• Ensure seamless transition from set‑up to close‑out, maintaining quality processes, problem resolution and snagging.
• Maintain focus on client satisfaction while aligning cost, scope and schedule.
• Promote health & safety education with trade suppliers and prevent complacency.
• Develop and sustain positive relationships with clients, owners and supply‑chain partners.
• Lead regular project team meetings that include risk assessment and management.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering projects valued over £200 million as the lead contractor.
• Background in construction build or specialist MEP contracting.
• Strong ability to build and develop high‑performing teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Track record of delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
