Rates Structuring & Client Solutions Associate

About the role

Santander's Global Markets team is looking for a Rates Structuring & Client Solutions Associate based in Madrid. The role focuses on delivering bespoke rates and cross‑asset solutions to institutional clients, helping them navigate regulatory, accounting, funding and economic challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Price rates derivatives, structured notes, repacks, repos and bespoke funding solutions, including XVA and other valuation adjustments.
• Prepare high‑quality generic and customised presentations for client pitches.
• Analyse market movements, generate trade ideas and identify dislocations.
• Manage regulatory capital and financial resources to support internal and client‑facing activities.
• Develop tools and systems to automate pricing, monitor markets and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand client challenges and design tailored solutions.
