Sales Development Team Lead – French Speaking

About the role

As the Sales Development Team Lead for the French‑speaking market, you will head an outbound SDR team from our Barcelona office. You will coach, motivate and develop the team while shaping the outbound strategy that fuels SumUp’s growth across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop French‑speaking Sales Development Representatives through regular 1:1s, pipeline reviews and daily stand‑ups.
• Improve performance by training on cold calling, prospecting, qualification and objection handling.
• Partner with Sales Leadership to define target accounts, outbound strategies and territory planning for the French market.
• Continuously optimise call scripts, outreach sequences and prospecting processes using data and team feedback.
• Support hiring, onboarding and ramp‑up of new SDRs as the team expands.
• Lead by example, staying close to outbound activity and maintaining a strong coaching presence.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in outbound sales, comfortable with cold calling and prospecting.
• Previous experience leading or coaching sales teams and a genuine passion for people development.
• Ability to build processes and structure in fast‑growing environments.
• Comfort with analysing KPIs and using data to improve performance.
• Native‑level French and fluent English.
• Collaborative mindset while taking ownership of results.
