Senior Automation & Analytics Analyst - Pricing Operations

About the role

bp is looking for a Senior Automation & Analytics Analyst to join its team in Madrid. You will lead automation, analytics and continuous improvement initiatives across pricing operations for the M&C, B2B and Fleet segments in the Mediterranean region, working closely with Pricing, Sales, GIPP and technical teams to turn business challenges into scalable digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and implement automation and process improvement opportunities across pricing operations.
• Support daily pricing activities and keep core systems, tools and processes effective and stable.
• Develop analytics products, dashboards, data pipelines and decision-support solutions.
• Drive automation initiatives using Power Platform, Microsoft 365, SAP automation, AI solutions and related technologies.
• Contribute to simplifying and standardising pricing practices across MED and Europe.
• Support and improve pricing systems such as SAP, Polaris, ICPM and PROS.
• Partner with Pricing, Sales, IT and development teams to turn business requirements into technical solutions, and support GIPP initiatives.
• Use modern analytics and AI tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, Databricks, Palantir and Copilot to solve commercial and analytical challenges.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Fluency in English and Spanish; French and/or Portuguese is an advantage.
• Ability to analyse complex business and market data and turn insights into practical recommendations.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and continuous improvement attitude.
• Motivated, proactive and self-starting, able to drive change.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, bridging business and technical teams.
• Experience in multicultural, cross-functional environments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of or strong interest in AI, Power BI, Power Apps and Power Platform.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, data analytics, reporting solutions or process automation tools.
• Agile and DevOps ways of working.

Some travel may be required and is negotiable; the role is not eligible for relocation. The position is a hybrid of office and remote working.
