Senior Back End Engineer

About the role

Abacum, a business planning solution for finance teams, is hiring a Senior Back End Engineer in Barcelona. The role sits in an early-stage product with a multi-dimensional real-time calculation engine, in an extremely agile environment with a direct long-term impact on the product and its users.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, product designers and product to run experiments and test new ideas.
• Build performant, design-centric, reusable and usable interfaces, such as customisation options, complex data visualisations (graphs, charts) and reusable components.
• Drive user-defined data modelling and performance, giving users customisation through reusable building blocks like models, variables and formulas.
• Take operational responsibility for the components you write.
• Work with product and operations to incorporate customer feedback and scale the complex data and calculations platform for a growing number of clients.
