Senior Cybersecurity Consultant – SOC & Microsoft Environments

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant to lead our security operations in Spain. You will monitor SOC alerts, manage incident response, and drive improvements across Microsoft‑based environments, ensuring the organization’s cyber‑defence posture remains robust.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyse and manage SOC alerts and security reports.
• Define and execute action plans for security incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Escalate critical situations to senior IT leadership as needed.
• Oversee security actions related to Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune and server infrastructure.
• Coordinate remediation activities with internal teams and third‑party providers.
• Track completion of cybersecurity action plans and corrective measures.
• Prepare operational, risk and executive‑level cybersecurity reports.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend improvements.
• Develop and refine processes for security monitoring and incident management.
• Support governance, compliance and risk‑management initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
• Proven background in cybersecurity operations and incident management.
• At least 1 year of experience preparing and tracking operational or security reports.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, including interaction with senior leadership.
• Ability to lead initiatives, coordinate teams and drive continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Active Directory administration, authentication services and Group Policy (GPO) management.
• Microsoft 365 tenant administration and security controls.
• Microsoft Intune administration and endpoint security.
• Management of physical and virtual server environments.
• Vulnerability management, security monitoring and remediation processes.
• Experience with SOC alert handling and incident response.
