Senior IT Project Manager – Disaster Recovery & Cyber Resilience

About the role

Fusion Consulting, a global Life Sciences boutique consultancy, is looking for a Senior IT Project Manager based in Barcelona. The role leads end-to-end delivery of a strategic Disaster Recovery (DR) and cyber resilience program across APAC and Europe, building regional DR capabilities, recovering business-critical applications and introducing recovery automation. It coordinates infrastructure, network, security, application and business stakeholders so that critical services can be recovered within agreed recovery objectives after major disruptions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of DR and cyber resilience initiatives across multiple regions and sites.
• Manage the establishment of an in-region co-location DR facility, including network connectivity, storage, Nutanix, VMware, firewalls and application onboarding.
• Coordinate DR enablement and recovery readiness for business-critical applications, including recovery planning, testing and site failover exercises.
• Drive implementation of Ansible-based recovery automation, including automated technical runbooks and recovery playbooks.
• Manage cyber resilience initiatives such as Citrix modernization, Azure MFA, malware protection and remediation of security findings.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Infrastructure, Network, Security, Applications, Business Continuity, vendors and regional/site stakeholders.
• Own project planning, budget, resources, dependencies, RAID management, governance and executive status reporting.
• Ensure DR solutions are tested, documented, transitioned to operations and meet defined recovery objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of IT project management experience, preferably in DR, infrastructure, cybersecurity or business continuity projects.
• Experience in regulated pharmaceutical environments (GxP documentation).
• Proven experience managing global or multi-site projects, technical vendors, risks, budgets and cross-functional teams.
• Fluent business English and ability to collaborate across global teams.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of DR, business continuity, recovery testing, failover and enterprise infrastructure.
• Infrastructure projects with VMware, Nutanix, storage, networking, firewalls and data centers.
• Infrastructure automation and recovery orchestration; Ansible is highly advantageous.
• Cybersecurity technologies such as MFA, malware protection, Citrix and security remediation.
• Stakeholder management, governance and executive reporting.
