Senior Technical Architect - Life Sciences

About the role

Salesforce Professional Services in Iberia is hiring a Senior Technical Architect specialising in Life Sciences. You will be the technical authority for complex pharma, biotech and medtech programmes, owning end-to-end solution architecture across Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, Health Cloud, Data Cloud and Agentforce, and leading architecture for programmes that coexist with, integrate with or migrate from Veeva Systems (CRM, Vault, Network). You will advise CIO/CTO-level stakeholders and set the technical direction for engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end architecture of large, multi-cloud Life Sciences programmes, from discovery through go-live and hypercare, and define target-state architectures for Life Sciences Cloud and Veeva-to-Salesforce scenarios
• Set and govern architecture standards, run architecture review boards and mitigate technical risk
• Ensure designs meet regulatory and compliance expectations (GxP, CSV/validation, 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR, Sunshine Act)
• Design integrations with Veeva, MDM, ERP, data warehouses and marketing/safety systems, using REST/SOAP, Platform Events and CDC, and lead middleware strategy (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi)
• Architect Data Cloud and Agentforce solutions, and guide Apex/LWC code quality, with hands-on work in Python or JavaScript/Node.js
• Define environment, CI/CD and release strategies, and advise customer IT leadership and pre-sales teams
• Mentor Technical Architects and Consultants, build reference architectures and share assets, and maintain certifications

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience in consulting or professional services, 3+ years in an architect role
• Proven track record in Life Sciences with Life Sciences Cloud, Health Cloud and/or Veeva, including coexistence or migration scenarios
• Understanding of Life Sciences processes (HCP/HCO engagement, omnichannel, consent management, field force) and regulations (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR)
• Experience leading customer-facing architecture at senior IT level, mentoring others, and fluent Spanish and English (Portuguese a plus)
• Application Architect and/or System Architect certification required (or equivalent); working towards Certified Technical Architect highly valued
