Senior Technical SEO Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Technical SEO Specialist to lead the optimisation of a fast‑growing digital platform. Based in Spain, you will shape visibility across traditional search engines and emerging AI‑driven discovery channels, working closely with content, engineering and editorial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical SEO strategy to maximise organic traffic.
• Conduct comprehensive audits covering site architecture, crawling, indexation, Core Web Vitals, structured data and internal linking.
• Research, test and implement new tactics for AI‑powered search platforms (e.g., Generative Engine Optimization, Answer Engine Optimization).
• Monitor rankings, AI citations, click‑through rates and other KPIs, providing actionable recommendations.
• Build AI‑assisted workflows for SEO analysis, reporting and content production.
• Collaborate with engineering and editorial teams to deliver scalable technical improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical SEO at scale, with a strong analytical mindset.
• Curiosity for automation, AI tools and emerging digital trends.
• Ability to work independently and guide cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Technical SEO and on‑page optimisation.
• Website architecture and Core Web Vitals.
• Google Analytics, Google Search Console.
• Ahrefs, Screaming Frog.
• Structured data (Schema.org) implementation.
• Experience with AI‑powered search tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity.
