Software Engineer – Backend (Java, Kubernetes)

About the role

Twilio is looking for a Software Engineer to build and operate the critical infrastructure that powers webhook delivery across all Twilio products. You will work on a high‑scale platform that dispatches billions of webhooks worldwide, developing Java services and managing Kubernetes infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and support microservices at scale.
• Advocate for operational best practices and participate in on‑call rotations.
• Collaborate in sprint and quarterly planning ceremonies.
• Share ideas, request feedback, and communicate complex concepts clearly.

Required profile

• 2+ years of backend development experience, preferably with Java.
• Experience designing and consuming mature REST APIs.
• Background working with cloud technologies.
• Strong cross‑team communication and collaboration skills.
• Computer Science degree or equivalent practical experience.
