Software Engineer (Java)

About the role

Nexthink is seeking a motivated Java Engineer to design, build, and deliver resilient, cloud‑native services that process billions of events. You will work in an agile environment, contributing to both product features and platform reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, test, deliver, and maintain data import/export features.
• Collaborate with Product Management and engineering peers to ensure high quality.
• Advocate for product, security, performance, and code‑quality improvements.
• Write clean, maintainable code and enforce standards through code reviews.
• Identify and address technical debt, propose solutions, and ship features.
• Provide L3 support alongside the team.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies and follow best practices.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of Java development experience in SaaS projects.
• Experience with micro‑services frameworks; Micronaut is a plus.
• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and messaging systems such as Kafka.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
