Software Engineer – ML Core

About the role

Assaia International AG is looking for a proactive Software Engineer to join its ML Core team. You will design and implement efficient, scalable machine‑learning pipelines that serve both offline processing and real‑time production environments for airport and airline customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain back‑end services and tooling for internal ML users.
• Build and optimise core ML pipelines for offline and real‑time use.
• Collaborate with ML researchers to turn experimental pipelines into production‑ready solutions.
• Maintain inference infrastructure for both batch and streaming workloads.
• Participate in architecture discussions and liaise with other teams to improve workflow efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong production experience with Python.
• Solid understanding of software development best practices and system design.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to deliver features independently while communicating with internal customers.
• Comfortable navigating complex codebases.
• Confident use of LLM‑tools for coding.
• Very good verbal and written English (B2+).
