Account Manager (Hybrid)

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is recruiting an Account Manager in Las Rozas. The role is hybrid, with an average of 2 days per week spent in an HPE office. The Account Manager manages one or more larger accounts or acts as account lead for a substantial part of a top account, driving growth and profitability while building the pipeline and supporting deal closing.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the customer's business challenges and goals into IT opportunities and articulate the link between the customer's core KPIs and HPE's portfolio.
• Build and execute account business plans and a growth plan, leading pipeline-building activities and keeping the funnel rightsized.
• Define an engagement model with key influencers and decision makers, and run regular account governance with the extended account team.
• Manage partner relationships and work with the HPE Partner Business Manager to update the partner strategy for the account.
• Stay current on IT trends and describe how HPE's portfolio fits the customer's needs.
• Manage 1 to many accounts of moderate revenue, or a portion of a large account within an assigned geography, working with mid-level decision makers and orchestrating regional pursuit resources.

Required profile

• University or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Typically 4-8+ years of sales experience; account management experience desired.
• Experience in the IT industry preferred, and experience working within IT departments or with customers is a plus.
• Experience in a vertical industry preferred.

Required skills

• Sales execution and ability to deliver on short-term sales objectives.
• Strategic planning and business acumen, including reading financial reports.
• Knowledge of HPE products, solutions and services.
• Influencing, negotiating and team leadership in a complex matrix organization.
• Ability to qualify and close deals of moderate complexity.
