Accounting Specialist – English & Spanish

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual Accounting Specialist to join a global technology and services organization in Barcelona. The position offers a stable, international environment where you can deepen your accounting expertise while working within a structured finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Record and classify accounting transactions in the general ledger, covering income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
• Prepare and review balance sheets, financial statements, and monthly, quarterly, and annual closing reports.
• Reconcile bank accounts and customer/supplier accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Manage invoicing, collections, and payments, applying VAT correctly and ensuring tax compliance.
• Support the preparation of tax declarations (VAT, income tax, corporate tax).
• Maintain up‑to‑date accounting and financial documentation and assist internal and external audits.
• Help with financial forecasts, reporting, analysis, and monitor inventories and fixed assets.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.

Required profile

• Fluent in Spanish and advanced English, both written and spoken.
• 2–3 years of experience in an accounting or finance‑related role.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and financial processes.
• Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and proactive mindset.
• Team‑oriented with good communication skills.
