Application Developer SAP BTP

About the role

Join Liebherr’s newly established SAP Center in Madrid as an Application Developer on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). You will contribute to the global SAP S/4HANA transformation program, designing and evolving cloud‑native extensions that follow clean‑core principles.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain applications and extensions on SAP BTP.
• Build cloud‑native solutions using SAP CAP (Node.js/Java), SAP Fiori/UI5 and SAP Business Application Studio.
• Create side‑by‑side extensions for SAP S/4HANA while ensuring security, scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, architects and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Produce technical design documents, architecture standards and development guidelines.
• Support the full application lifecycle, including deployment, monitoring and incident resolution.
• Manage source code versioning and branching with Git, GitHub and GitFlow.
• Maintain technical documentation in JIRA and Confluence and stay current with SAP BTP innovations.
• Travel up to 30% to Liebherr sites worldwide to support deployments and engage with business teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience developing applications on SAP BTP, preferably in S/4HANA environments.
• Proven track record as an SAP Application Developer with hands‑on experience in SAP CAP, Node.js or Java.
• Strong understanding of clean‑core extension strategies and cloud‑native concepts.
