Butcher for Hotel Occidental Cala Viñas

About the role

Barceló is seeking a skilled butcher to join the culinary team at Hotel Occidental Cala Viñas in Mallorca. The role involves managing the meat station, ensuring high‑quality preparation, and supporting the overall kitchen operation in a 4‑star hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Organise the preparation of raw materials and utensils, and allocate tasks for efficient station workflow.
• Supervise and develop recipes in line with menu cycles and food‑handling best practices.
• Direct and oversee assistants and cooks during dish preparation.
• Ensure cleaning, preservation, and restocking of meat products meet hygiene standards.
• Maintain accurate records and apply hygienic‑sanitary controls for the station.
• Assist with receiving, storage, and internal replenishment following established procedures.

Required profile

• Higher Vocational Training in Kitchen Management or Hospitality, or a degree in Tourism.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar butcher or kitchen station role.
• High level of English is desirable.
• Good gustatory and olfactory memory, creativity and manual dexterity.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, team‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to plan, organise, solve problems and make decisions.
