Category Management Lead - MFC Spain

About the role

Glovo, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is looking for a Category Management Lead for its MFC (multi-format commerce) business in Spain. You will own and grow categories end-to-end in the company's darkstore supermarkets, defining the assortment, shaping the customer offer and driving commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Own categories end-to-end: define and run the category strategy across assortment, pricing and in-app visibility to drive AOV, gross margin and category penetration.
• Build a strong assortment in the darkstores: identify opportunities, follow trends, manage the product lifecycle and act on underperforming products.
• Lead supplier relationships: negotiate yearly contracts, improve commercial terms and secure funding for promotions and campaigns.
• Work with the Brand Ads team to plan and run in-store campaigns and promotions.
• Collaborate with Operations and Demand Planning to ensure strong execution, availability and a good customer experience.
• Oversee UX and pricing of your categories.
• Support and mentor junior team members or interns.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of experience as a category manager or category buyer, preferably in FMCG within an e-commerce environment.
• Strong negotiation skills, including closing yearly supplier contracts and leading ad-hoc negotiations.
• Analytical mindset: interpreting data and reports and turning insights into action plans.
• Strong prioritisation and time management, focused on high-impact initiatives.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-performance start-up environment.
• Native-level Spanish and fluent English.
