Category Manager Retail & Insights Manager (Interim)

About the role

Red Bull España is looking for an interim Category Manager and Insights Manager in Madrid to support the Trade Marketing Manager in defining and executing the trade marketing and category strategy for discounters and cash & carry, and to lead shopper insights for off-premise. The role identifies opportunities to drive Red Bull and category growth and turns data into actionable insights for sales, field sales and key customer conversations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead shopper and commercial insights for off-premise, analysing market, shopper and customer data to find trends and growth opportunities and turn them into actionable recommendations.
• Define and run the category management and trade marketing agenda for discounters and cash & carry, covering assortment, distribution, placement and visibility.
• Provide sales and field sales teams with category insights, tools and selling stories to support customer conversations and commercial decisions.
• Manage and share market information, shopper research and data sources so they are accessible and actionable across the commercial organisation.
• Support the Trade Marketing Manager and off-premise team in business planning and work with international teams on global tools, insights and best practices.

Required profile

• 3 years of experience in FMCG, preferably in category management, shopper/commercial insights, trade marketing or sales.
• Strong understanding of FMCG markets, sales, distribution, shopper behaviour and category management.
• Experience with market and shopper data sources such as NielsenIQ, Circana/IRI, household panels, loyalty data or shopper research.
• Ability to develop customer-facing category presentations, selling stories and commercial recommendations.
• Ability to influence and build relationships across sales, trade marketing, field and international teams.
• English mandatory; travel of 20% required.
