Connectivity Systems Engineer

About the role

Airbus Helicopters España is looking for a Connectivity Systems Engineer to take over the functional and system design responsibilities for connectivity in new technological projects. The candidate joins the Mission System department (EBSTYM), which handles avionic system integration in helicopters, but works full time in the AHE FireFighting24H project team, coordinated by the Research and Technology department (EBSTR). The role involves system engineering and system-level integration of connectivity functions, acting as a technical reference for connectivity capabilities and technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in system and function definition.
• Gather and share knowledge of current and future market solutions for systems.
• Define system requirements: CONOPS, functional, mechanical, electrical and logical, and human-machine interface.
• Interface with architecture, software, project management, quality, procurement and other project stakeholders across the organisation.
• Support knowledge exchange within Airbus across all divisions.
• Some travel to Germany and France for business is required.

Required profile

• Aeronautical or telecommunication engineering degree or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in system design.
• Experience designing, developing, engineering and integrating systems for aircraft.
• Advanced level of English.

Required skills

• Tactical communication, data links, SATCOM, 5G and connectivity.
• High adaptability to new topics and business, teamwork and good communication skills.
