Content Editor - French Speaker

About the role

Fever, a tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is hiring an experienced Editorial Executive for its Secret Media Network (SMN) to cover the French and Belgian markets. Reporting directly to the VP of Media, you will manage a growing team of editors, writers, video producers and social media creatives, shaping the creative vision of the network and driving content quality and audience growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own the scope of responsibility for the French and Belgian markets and provide 1-on-1 management with clear workflows and individual feedback.
• Craft, communicate and execute the creative vision for the entire Secret Media Network.
• Work with editors, staff writers and the video and social team to maintain high editorial standards aligned with the brand's identity and tone of voice.
• Lead the team to foster growth, creativity and reach for new audiences, and guide experienced editors to improve content in established cities.
• Analyze data for cities in your region using SMN's internal KPIs to inform future strategy.
• Identify editorial partnership opportunities and take a hands-on approach to key content-creation initiatives.
• Coordinate, assign and prioritize editorial work, collaborate with other Fever departments, develop audience-growth strategies and share best practices.
• Build and optimize a content-driven conversion funnel, linking storytelling, formats, distribution and audience insights to measurable conversions.

Required profile

• Proficiency in English and native-level French.
• +5 years of experience in a newsroom, content agency, creative agency or digital media property.
• Minimum 2 years of team management experience.
• Passion for journalism, especially at the local level, social media and digital marketing.
• Ability to inspire creative teams and customers, with strong presentation skills.

Required skills

• Media mapping and collaboration with external partners (advertising, media agencies, TV/animation companies).
• Digital fluency across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X and similar platforms.
• Data-driven approach, solid writing skills and understanding of optimization technologies, AI-driven processes and workflow automation.
• Preferred: WordPress, Photoshop, Canva and other image/video editing tools; powerful media network contacts.
