Data Scientist – Applied Science

About the role

Join Cabify’s Applied Science team to develop data‑driven solutions that improve mobility across more than 40 cities worldwide. You will work on high‑impact projects that shape urban transportation, collaborating with product, engineering and business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, train, validate and deploy statistical and machine learning models.
• Lead end‑to‑end data science projects, from data extraction to production deployment.
• Analyse results of real‑world experiments using rigorous scientific methods.
• Translate technical findings into actionable business insights.
• Participate in product development discussions, bringing a data‑science perspective.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a data scientist or in a comparable research role.
• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or a related field.
• Strong foundation in probability, statistics and experimental design.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in an unstructured environment.

Required skills

• Python for data analysis and visualization.
• Complex SQL querying.
• Statistical modeling and machine learning techniques.
• Data extraction, cleaning and processing.
• Data‑visualisation libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn).
• Familiarity with deep learning, time‑series analysis, Bayesian statistics, causal inference and geo‑data modeling (bonus).
