Digital Hub Director - Software Delivery

About the role

KION is looking for a Digital Hub Director in Barcelona to lead a high-performing software team and help shape the company's software strategy. The Hub is a young, software-focused unit organised in SAFe, established around two and a half years ago, and is ready for its next step. The goal is to turn KION's vision of an intelligent orchestration platform for intralogistics into shipped capability and real business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing delivery team focused on pace, quality and ownership, with agile and SAFe practices.
• Contribute to the orchestration platform across hybrid fleets, 360-degree orchestration, an AI engine for continuous optimisation and a unified user experience.
• Promote common standards, a common platform and common infrastructure, breaking down silos and replacing fragmentation with a reusable software foundation.
• Connect engineering work to customer value, market position and revenue, and give the Hub a credible voice in KION's software direction.
• Lead through Domain Leads and Co-Leads, improving flow of value, engineering excellence and accountability.

Required profile

• Proven software delivery leadership: has built and led teams that ship, setting a high bar on pace and quality.
• Ambitious, impact-driven leader who attracts people with the same attitude and lifts teams around them.
• Commercially sharp: able to connect software to customer value and to the business, making the case to leaders and customers.
• Intralogistics or material handling background is a plus.

Required skills

• Deep fluency in SAFe, agile and team topologies.
• Focus on flow of value, predictability and engineering excellence.
