Director, Services Business Development – Europe

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Director to lead Services Business Development across Europe, based in Madrid. The role focuses on expanding Mastercard Services by building partnerships with financial institutions, merchants, fintechs and government entities.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the growth strategy for Mastercard Services in Spain and the broader European market.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities by understanding client and market challenges.
• Leverage the full portfolio of Mastercard Services to create tailored solutions for partners.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver end‑to‑end payment and service offerings.
• Manage relationships with flagship financial institutions, retailers, big‑tech and e‑commerce players.

Required profile

• Strategic thinker with a solution‑oriented mindset.
• Proven experience in business development or sales within the payments, financial services or technology sectors.
• Strong track record of building and scaling partnerships with large enterprises.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
