EMEA Tax Manager

About the role

Fever, a global tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is hiring an EMEA Tax Manager in Madrid. The Tax team ensures tax compliance across the group, from sales taxes and deal structuring to reporting obligations and tax opportunities, working closely with external advisors. As Tax Manager you will play a key role in the tax practice, working with the Head of Tax and the team on the Group's tax compliance and tax strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a growing tax team, fostering collaboration and accountability
• Own and manage the tax calendar for direct and indirect taxes across all relevant jurisdictions
• Coordinate and review indirect and direct tax compliance processes
• Research and analyse direct and indirect tax matters and give tailored advice
• Identify risks and tax planning opportunities, determine uncertain tax exposures and manage tax provisions
• Collaborate with third-party providers and work with Finance & Accounting on the application of tax laws
• Support indirect and direct tax audits and inquiries with tax authorities
• Prepare applications for rulings, tax incentives and exemptions
• Advise senior management on tax risks and transaction structures for acquisitions
• Contribute to improving tax processes

Required profile

• At least 5 years of senior taxation experience in practice or industry, focused on EMEA (Spain, Portugal, UK, France)
• Experience managing, mentoring or leading team members
• Solid experience setting and monitoring tax calendars for direct and indirect taxes
• Degree in Finance, Law or Tax
• Fluent English; other languages are a plus

• Proven tax knowledge across multiple European jurisdictions
• Proficient Excel user
• Project management and organisation
