Engineering Change Leader - A400M

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is hiring an Engineering Change Manager (Engineering Change Leader) in Getafe, Spain, within the Military Aircraft Configuration Engineering department. You will act mainly as Change Leader for the Systems and Integration Team on the A400M programme, supporting configuration activities for aircraft ATAs and working with Design, Systems Analysis, Manufacturing Engineering, Programmes Configuration and Services. Regular teleworking is possible, and the role contributes to new ways of working across Airbus Group.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the modification flow and support the preparation of modification documents (CR/TRS)
• Support the certification process for authorities
• Prepare reports on configuration at different stages
• Define the general criteria and requirements for the design product structure and support its creation
• Take part in configuration meetings and check that the design product structure complies with change objectives and procedures
• Help define PLM requirements for configuration management tasks and verify their implementation
• Support the update of configuration procedures in the Design Organization Manual
• Contribute to transversal activities, new processes (such as CMPM) and tools

Required profile

• Aeronautical or industrial engineering degree or a related discipline
• At least 4 years of experience in aeronautics in configuration management, design, systems analysis, manufacturing engineering or a related area
• 2 years of configuration management experience on Airbus/Airbus DS programmes such as A400M, A350 or A380
• Advanced English; Spanish is valued as a plus
• Proactive, innovative and good interpersonal and communication skills

Required skills

• Knowledge of configuration tools and PLM (ICC, PDMLink, System View, APS modules)
