Finance Controller

About the role

Join the global GBS Finance team at Wilhelmsen as a Finance Controller based in Terrassa, Barcelona. You will act as a Finance Business Partner, ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting budgeting and performance analysis, and collaborating with local and regional stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse financial performance and assist in budgeting and target‑setting processes.
• Prepare and deliver accurate, timely financial reports.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring data integrity across systems.
• Serve as the primary contact for service owners on financial data and analysis.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures and local regulations.
• Support audits, reporting processes and finance infrastructure maintenance.
• Contribute to local and global finance projects and initiatives.
• Provide backup to the Hub Manager and assist with accounting functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field; professional certifications (CPA, CMA, ACCA) are a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in financial management, analysis and budgeting.
• Experience working with multiple South‑European countries (Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece) preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent in English.

• Power BI for data visualisation and analysis.
